Participate in a UROP

UROP stands for Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program. If you have the chance to get in on research being conducted at your school, don’t hesitate to seize it! Everyone has a small part of themselves that wants to change the world. Being involved with a UROP could be how you do that, because within research there are tons of opportunities to make a difference.

A UROP also makes sense for your future career as well. All of your peers who graduate with the same degree will become your job competition. Getting a jump on relevant experiences will help you distinguish yourself from everyone else.
